David Ray Nelson

David Ray “Butch” Nelson, 67, passed away July 10, 2023.

Butch was born Aug. 27, 1955, in Carmi, IL., to Herold Elwood Nelson and Geraldine “Benny” (Robb) Nelson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Butch is survived by his sisters Peggy Nelson, Jimmie Mallette and spouse Steve, and Susie Stewart and spouse Dale; nieces Jymme Moody and spouse Curtis, Laurissa Pesavento and spouse Jonathon, and Gracie Denney; nephews Tim Stewart, Doug Mallette, Camren Metcalf, Trent Denney, and Tyson Pesavento; aunts June Walker, JoAnn Beason, and Betty Nelson; and numerous cousins.
