At the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, we pride ourselves on preserving and celebrating our many unique traditions. Together, we celebrate and honor the rich traditions passed down to us from our ancestors.

My favorite is Tiki Bar in Durant. Adam and Bianca Takes Horse own this small business that serves Poke Bowls, Acai Bowls, Dole Whip, Specialty Shaved Ice and Bubble Waffles and often have Taco Tuesday with Birria Tacos.

Our family owns a flower and gift shop in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, called Tallgrass Prairie Flowers and More. Our two daughters are Choctaw, and people love to come in and pick up flowers that they create. At the age of 15 and 16, these two ladies out-design florists that have been creating for 20 plus years. They have helped me with doing flowers for the Food Network show The Pioneer Woman Cooks. Ree personally thanks my girls for helping. People in our town know they are hard workers and creative.
