McGilberry turns 103

“Papa” Stephen McGilberry will celebrate his 103rd birthday on January 28.

He was born in 1921 and attended school at Jones Academy in Hartshorne, Oklahoma.

McGilberry served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and WWII. Upon returning home, he became a welder.

He is the father to five sons and one daughter. His daughter is his only remaining child. He has numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

McGilberry lives alone and is very independent. He is in good health and still drives. He enjoys Sunday dinners with family and especially eating good desserts.
