Mitchell named National Honor Society Scholar

Jaelynn Mitchell

On April 4, 2023, The National Honor Society inducted another member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.

Jaelynn Mitchell received her token of acceptance into membership of the society that pledges high scholastic grades, untarnished character, and becoming a leader through intelligence and courage.

These qualities of providing services to others freely helped her be recognized by other educational professionals who believe in the National Honor Society’s pillars of worthiness, their commitment to learning, service, leadership, and character.

Jaelynn is now a distinguished member of this society. She is currently a sophomore at Lawton high school. She is also attending Cameron University under a scholarship program provided by the State of Oklahoma’s higher education, Upward Bound program. She would like to share her excitement and thank the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma for its continued support throughout her educational journey. “The Star Program, and clothing allowance helps,” said Mitchell.
