Rose ‘Lily’ Velentina Hoffman, age 91, and was born on March 5, 1905 in Pittsburg County, Oklahoma to Sante Ferrante and Isabenda Woods Ferrante. She passed away on October 2, 1996 at the Talihina Manor Nursing Home where she had resided since January 1996. She had formerly lived in the Atoka area. Her employment had been on the nursing staff with the USPHS Indian Hospital, she had retired in 1971. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Krebs, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Hoffman; sisters, Louise James and Mary Nickels and three brothers, Charlie, John Otho and Jobie Ferrante. Survivors include one sister and brother-in-law, Malinda and Jack Brumit of McAlester, Oklahoma; four nieces, Elizabeth Kline of Boyertown, Pennsylvania, Mary Johns of Okeechobee, Florida; Darlena Scroggins of McAlester, and Marie Jones of Talihina, and a nephew, Jon Waggoner of Talihina.
